Glossary

Certain words used on this site can either be new to some visitors or have varying meanings from person to person. Since I’m writing to a global audiance, I’ll try to include phrases that wouldn’t be understood everywhere.

diversity – the coexistense of people who are outwardly different. Diversity is only meaningful when it describes the harmonious collaboration of these different people in a way that mutually builds on strengths and leads toward unity. _{first mention}

Ed.D. – Doctor of Education degree _{first mention}

K-12 – pre-college grade levels in the United States. Kindergartden and grades 1 – 5 or 6 are elementary school. Grades 6 or 7 – 8 are middle school. Grades 9 (freshman), 10 (sophomore), 11 (junior), and 12 (senior) are high school. _{first mention}
